‘Verspilling is Verrukkelijk’ groeit

The platform 'Verspilling is Verrukkelijk' (Wasting is Delicious) aims to combat food waste. More and more companies are being mobilised against food waste. On 26 September 2018 no less than 7 new parties joined as partners. The 'Delicious Rules of the Game' were also launched on the 26th. By doing so, the platform shows how they  want to combat food waste together.

The new partners are: Picnic, Bidfood, Boon's Markt, MCD Supermarkets, PLUS van Schaick, Hutten and Antropia. These companies carry out various projects against food waste. Picnic and Bidfood, for example, place a 'Verspilling is Verrukkelijk' shelf in their web shop. The PLUS provides a physical shelf.

Too valuable to waste

The 'Wasting is Delicious' participants develop and sell tasty and beautiful products made from ingredients that would otherwise be wasted. This includes soup made from curved vegetables (Kromkommer), beer from old bread (Instock) and soap made from orange peels (Beeblue).
