To keep our world viable for future generations, there is great pressure from society on both food producers and retailers to reduce the amount of plastic packaging materials. In cooperation with selected partners, Repak offers a number of sustainable packaging concepts in which the plastic content is significantly reduced. A good concept is the Modified Atmosphere packaging of mono PP material, which replaces a pre-fabricated hard shell. This can reduce the plastic content by more than 40%, and at the same time is 100% recyclable! In addition, this concept results in savings in handling, transport and storage of materials and the associated CO2 emissions.
Of course, optimum protection, shelf life and appearance of the product remain guaranteed.
