Warm contacts

Are you already getting used to Teams? I am not. I don't think I'll ever get used to it; I'm still a people person.

We miss so many moments of personal contact with each other; both in private life and at work. Keeping in touch in this day and age (yes, you are reading it correctly, I want to avoid the C-word for a moment) requires extra effort; and making new contacts especially.

Are you already getting used to moving up meetings, gatherings, parties and business appointments in the calendar? I don't think anyone likes postponing meetings, especially when they have to be cancelled in the end. What to do? We are not going to switch to a digital version. So impersonal; that does not suit the OSV at all! So the network is at a complete standstill.

But you are a member of a network to create opportunities in the market, to plant and to harvest. We cannot offer that now. In fact, I expect that in the first quarter of 2021, we still cannot and should not organise anything. That means that we will miss a whole year of OSV meetings. There has to be something of great value in return.

That is why we have sent a valuable gift to members, for all those missed meetings and sociability. And I can say that our gift was very well received. We get such nice, heartwarming reactions; then I realise again how warm and close our network is. Contact has been warmed up again a little bit!

Now it is up to us to keep it warm as well.
