Wall coverings and partitions that are anti-bacterial and anti-viral; do you believe it yourself? Oh, they already exist... That's going to cost a lot then! It's not that bad, you say. Tell me...
Sealwise WCB, the name of the material, has a number of special properties, of which the absolute waterproofness and the anti-bacterial and anti-viral are the most eye-catching. Very important advantages in the food industry. The panels are largely made of recycled PVC, which is 100% recyclable after use and therefore completely circular.
To prevent contamination with harmful bacteria and viruses, Sealwise WCB applies the Biomaster® method. This patented closed cell technology, in which millions of tiny vesicles are fused together, guarantees absolute watertightness. It works on the basis of silver ions, which are incorporated through and through in the material. This prevents bacteria and viruses from growing, producing energy or replicating, causing them to die. The material has been proven to reduce bacterial growth by 99.9% and, as recently discovered, viral growth by 99.8%.
A renowned laboratory in England showed that the beta virus of COVID 19, applied to Sealwise, had almost completely disappeared after only two hours. Other viruses were also tested for it, including influenza, measles, dengue and SARS viruses. Sealwise is the only plate material with this exceptionally high score," says Ernest Conradi, manager Sealwise Netherlands. Recall that viruses in the food industry can survive up to 72 hours on a widely used material such as stainless steel.
Food safety is number one among food producing companies. Contamination must be kept to an absolute minimum.
,,With the panels you create the best possible protective hygienic walls. The panels can easily be placed over existing (tiled) walls and are extremely wear-resistant. Cleaning the walls is faster, simpler and more thorough," says Ernest. ,,Thanks to their long service life and minimal maintenance, they offer an excellent return on investment. Should a scratch or hole occur? Then it's easy to repair it yourself with heat, for example with a hairdryer or a special iron.
