Flow packaging is on the rise, as it allows a 70% reduction in plastic. Meat is increasingly sold in this packaging. In cooperation with several meat processors, De Koningh has now extensively tested its leak detection machines on bag and tray packaging. Antares Vision's LDS700-IoT leak detection system is highly capable of detecting microleaks in MAP packed meat, 100% of all products, in-line and without loss of capacity. It surpasses the competition thanks to infrared spectroscopy. The system operates using an enclosed booth with air curtains. Measurements are therefore highly accurate, unhindered by, for example, CO2 emissions from an employee at the line.
