Rejecting a product doesn’t have to mean damaging its packaging. Automator’s Scancheck automatically checks barcodes on tray-sealed or top-sealed products. If the system rejects a product, an air knife gently blows it off the line. The packaging stays intact, preserving product quality. This allows rejected products to be easily reintroduced onto the production line.
Two Datalogic barcode scanners read both 1D and 2D codes on the packaging. These include EAN, QR, and Data Matrix codes. Roller support ensures that barcodes on the underside remain clearly readable.
The machine has two independently adjustable conveyor belts. These ensure a steady flow of different products.
A Siemens PLC controls the Scancheck and connects to a Weintek touchscreen. Operators use this screen to run the machine and switch recipes. They can adjust belt speed, scanner delay, and rejection timing directly.
The interface supports multiple languages and offers optional remote diagnostics. The system uses EasyAccess 2.0 for this function.
The Scancheck combines a sturdy frame with a compact design. The machine measures 960 × 950 × 1670 millimeters. According to the product information, the system fits into virtually any existing production line.
