Scancheck Barcode Inspection System

The Scancheck machine was developed to automatically inspect barcodes on tray-sealed and top-sealed products. Rejected products are gently blown off the line using an air knife, without damaging the packaging. This preserves product quality and allows rejected items to be easily reintroduced into the line.

Smart controls and accurate scanning

The Scancheck is designed to provide maximum reliability at every stage of the production process. Two Datalogic barcode scanners effortlessly read both 1D and 2D codes, including EAN, QR and Data Matrix codes. The machine is controlled by a Siemens PLC combined with an intuitive Weintek touchscreen. This makes operation and recipe changeovers simple and efficient. Operators can directly adjust settings such as conveyor speed, scanner delay and ejection timing. The multilingual interface offers added convenience and, if required, even enables remote diagnostics through EasyAccess 2.0.

Compact, robust and flexible

With its sturdy frame and compact dimensions (960 × 950 × 1,670 mm), the Scancheck integrates seamlessly into virtually any existing production line. The two independently adjustable conveyor belts ensure a stable flow of different products, while roller supports ensure that barcodes on the underside remain easy to read. Its combination of speed, precision and ease of use has made the Scancheck a reliable solution for modern packaging environments where efficiency and quality come first.
