You can prevent downtime by making machines as simple as possible. This does not only work in the manufacturing of the machine, but especially in its operation. Repak has therefore designed a new HMI (Human Machine Interface) that uses the same principles as a smartphone. Simple icons, recognizable colors and clear fonts help guide the user step-by-step through the process. By giving the operator little room for interpretation, even the flexible workforce quickly has the machine under control. With the simple operation and short familiarization time of the new HMI, Repak aims for zero-downtime.
