QiSOFT introduces digital signature

  • 09 May 2017

In the new release of QIS, QiSOFT is introducing the ‘digital signature’ which will further formalise the insight into production processes.

“QIS is all set for strict user management policies such as stronger passwords, maskers and automated periodic password changes.”

The digital signature records which user has input and validated which data. The digital signature is based on the user login details. The date and time are automatically registered whenever a digital signature is added, and it is also possible to include notes. The mandatory use of the digital signature is aimed at verifiably recording which user has input which data or approvals in QIS. Users cannot continue working unless they add their digital signature. The QIS logsheet shows which user the digital signature belongs to.

The signature can only be changed by the user themselves, and all changes are also logged in QIS.

As usual in QIS, the digital signature can be set up by a systems administrator. A second digital signature can be added if desired or if it is necessitated by the situation.

“The digital signature within QIS gives you even greater insight into your production process.”
