Ikwileer­li­jkezuivel acquires Ausnutria's production facility in Ommen

On September 24, 2024, Ausnutria and Ikwileerlijkezuivel.nl signed an agreement for the acquisition of Ausnutria’s production facility in Ommen. As part of this deal, 24 Ausnutria employees will transition to the new owner, with production set to begin on October 2. This acquisition is the result of months of close cooperation between both parties, with a strong focus on ensuring job security for the employees.

Job security for employees

Most employees will remain in their roles following the acquisition. For those not transitioning to the new owner, the social plan agreed upon earlier this year provides options for reassignment or a severance agreement. The new owner, Ikwileerlijkezuivel.nl, is eager to continue production at the site and implement its future plans.

A future for sustainable dairy

Bart van der Meer, Executive Director of Ausnutria, expressed satisfaction with the acquisition: “This is a positive step, both for the employees and for maintaining the factory as a production site for specialty dairy streams.” Rik Hoogenberg, director of Ikwileerlijkezuivel.nl, is also optimistic: “This factory gives us the opportunity to offer dairy farmers near Natura2000 areas a promising future, with a strong team and significant production capacity.”
