Acquisition of Gosschalk by VanDrie Group cancelled

After it was announced on 30 January 2023 that the VanDrie Group had entered into a letter of intent to acquire a majority stake in Exportslachterij J. Gosschalk en Zn. B.V. in Epe, that agreement has now been dissolved. The VanDrie Group's participation in Exportslachterij J. Gosschalk en Zn. B.V. is definitely off the table.

Although both companies saw promising synergy benefits and opportunities to jointly shape the necessary development at Exportslachterij J. Gosschalk en Zn. B.V., recent developments disrupted the prospects of this. As a result of the bankruptcy of a Danish customer, an acute liquidity problem emerged. The VanDrie Group declined to provide additional financial resources. Export Slaughterhouse J. Gosschalk en Zn. B.V. has subsequently taken the step of cancelling the letter of intent.

The VanDrie Group regrets the developments and looks back with appreciation on the personal cooperation with representatives of Exportslachterij J. Gosschalk en Zn. B.V. during this process.
