Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods has expanded its product range by signing a distribution agreement with Cosun Protein, targeting the markets of Spain, Japan and South Korea. Cosun Protein, an emerging business unit of agricultural cooperative Royal Cosun, produces highly soluble, plant-based proteins suitable for a wide range of food and beverage applications.
Thijs Bosch, CEO of Cosun Protein, announced this partnership and expressed that he is confident the partnership with Vreugdenhil will deliver high quality customer service. "Our innovative Tendra® fava bean protein Isolate responds to the growing demand for premium plant-based proteins, especially in the dairy alternatives segment, where traditional dairy producers are eager to diversify their offerings with non-dairy products."
While consumption of animal proteins, such as meat, fish, milk, eggs and cheese, has increased in recent decades, the demand for plant-based proteins is also increasing to continue feeding the world's growing population. The distribution agreement between Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods and Cosun Protein enables customers to benefit from an extensive range of protein-rich powders with the addition of Tendra® Fava Protein Isolate. Gerben van Schaik, commercial director at Vreugdenhil, says, "This is a logical expansion of our product offering. We are proud of this collaboration with Cosun Protein and look forward with enthusiasm to what the future holds."
Tendra® Fava Protein Isolate is a groundbreaking product, resulting from a specific extraction technology and a unique purification process. It is a vegetable protein with a neutral taste and odor that exceeds industry standards for taste, purity and solubility
