Van Rooi and Van Loon Group have received final approval for their planned merger. This marks an important milestone for the two family-owned companies from Brabant.
With the approval now in place, a new phase begins in which both companies will continue building on their shared ambition: a high-quality, sustainable and future-proof food chain. Both businesses will continue to operate independently under their own names.
Together, Van Rooi and Van Loon Group generate annual revenue of more than €2 billion and employ over 4,900 people. While Van Rooi has built a strong position in primary processing and the global industrial meat market, Van Loon Group has established a leading position in sustainable meat and convenience products for the retail and foodservice sectors.
The management board of the combined company consists of CEO Hans Roelofs, Marc van Rooi and Robert van Ballegooijen. Marc van Rooi will remain responsible for Van Rooi, while Robert van Ballegooijen will continue to lead Van Loon Group.
