Tenth Food100 list puts lasting impact first

For the tenth time, one hundred Dutch food changemakers have earned a place on the Food100 list. This anniversary edition highlights professionals driving positive change throughout the food supply chain. Good ideas matter, but so do entrepreneurship and collaboration. This year, the jury paid particular attention to initiatives with long-term potential. These projects must be able to endure, grow, and make the entire food system more resilient.

Young talent and experienced professionals

One-third of the list consists of talented professionals under 35. The other two-thirds are experienced professionals aged 35 and over. The list includes people from small businesses and established companies. This year, a good idea alone was not enough. The strength of the business model also played an important role.

“But we only achieve real impact with initiatives that endure, grow, and make the entire food system more resilient,” says jury chair Anouk Snelders. She has appeared on previous Food100 lists three times.

The jury also considered the role of farmers and producers. Collaboration with colleagues, partners, and suppliers was another factor.

Six Food Heroes to be named in December

Six nominees will receive the title of Food Hero 2026. They will receive this special recognition for their exceptional achievements. The jury will announce their names on December 7, 2026.

The announcement will take place during an event at 1931 in Den Bosch. More information will follow once the full program is available. On the same day, Food100 will also host Food1000 in Den Bosch. The event will mark one thousand appearances on the list. It will provide a platform for the stories from ten editions.

Jury of food industry professionals

The independent expert jury consists of innovative professionals from the food industry. Their expertise ranges from entrepreneurship and farming to science and governance.

Food100 is an initiative of AgriFood Capital, Food Hub, Food Inspiration, and Slow Food Youth Network. Rabobank, aaff, and the Province of Noord-Brabant also support the list. All nominees are listed on the Food100 website.
