SnackWize acquires Lodewyck Gourmet

  • 21 March 2025

As of 19 March 2025, SnackWize has acquired the activities of Lodewyck Gourmet. This move strengthens the company’s position in both foodservice and retail, while further expanding its broad and future-ready product range.

Familiar snacks, new name

The well-known croquettes and bitterballen from Lodewyck Gourmet will remain part of the assortment but will now be sold under the SnackWize label. The products will continue to be prepared using the trusted recipes. What will change is a stronger focus on innovation, efficiency and customer orientation. With this step, SnackWize aims to respond even more effectively to market demand.

A diverse and sustainable range

Alongside the familiar classics, SnackWize is investing in plant-based and halal snacks. Its plant-based brand GRO develops circular oyster mushroom-based snacks, while Elal offers a broad range of halal products—without compromising on taste or quality. Together with Lodewyck, the three brands form a complete portfolio that caters to a wide variety of target groups.

Experienced team at the helm

Although a young company, SnackWize brings extensive industry experience. Founders Jesse ’t Lam (formerly Yellow Chips) and Edwin Hak (formerly Topking Fingerfood) are joined by Phil Kuit (formerly Oma Bobs) and Harm Husslage (formerly Holtkamp). This combination of craftsmanship and commercial expertise ensures a strong focus on quality, reliability and flexibility.
