Russian group wants to acquire HAK

  • 06 July 2021

Investment company NPM Capital has signed a preliminary agreement with Russia's KDV Group to acquire vegetable manufacturer HAK. KDV Group is an international food producer. KDV's products are available at more than 250,000 points of sale mainly in Eastern Europe, Russia and China.

Focus on growth in Germany

Vegetable manufacturer HAK in Giessen will soon have a new strategic shareholder with KDV and the opportunity for further international growth. The initial focus is on growth in Germany.

HAK will continue to operate independently

According to Timo Hoogeboom, CEO of HAK, the starting point was that the new shareholder would support HAK's vegetable mission and strategy. 'From the discussions we have had with KDV that is confirmed and it is clear that HAK will continue to operate autonomously.' The goal, according to Hoogeboom, is to work with KDV to strengthen HAK's international market position with the mission of helping people eat more vegetables and legumes.
