Royal A-ware Food Group plans to acquire the Belgian family business The Dairy Food Group. This acquisition includes the daily milk collection by BMC (Belgian Milk Company) and the companies Eurodesserts, Limelco, Incopack, and Incorock. The proposed acquisition will be promptly notified to the European Commission.
This acquisition aligns with the Dutch family business's strategy to expand its dairy operations in Belgium. "Once the acquisition process is complete, we can optimize our milk processing in Belgium and create more efficient supply chains. Additionally, we will offer our customers a broader product portfolio," says Jan Anker, CEO of Royal A-ware Food Group.
The Dairy Food Group sees opportunities for faster growth and job creation through the acquisition. "We are excited to become part of Royal A-ware Food Group. This step accelerates the sustainability of our activities. Royal A-ware shares our values and is a perfect match," says Nathalie Nijs, CEO of The Dairy Food Group.
The acquisition is subject to customary conditions. The goal is to complete the transaction by the end of 2024.
