MULTIVAC offers two new labeling solutions for trays of fresh produce: Top Wrap and Top Close. Ideal for fresh produce that does not require a protective atmosphere or vacuum packaging. With Top Wrap, a label is applied to the top and both sides of the tray, while Top Close only closes the tray from the top with a label. Both concepts reduce the use of plastic and contribute to industry sustainability.
The labeling solutions offer attractive label and recyclable packaging, which encourages consumers to purchase. The self-adhesive labels provide space for customer information and marketing purposes, and can be customized for different product presentations. They can also be printed with batch numbers or expiration dates, eliminating the need for additional labels. The use of unprinted cardboard trays enables flexible and efficient ordering and storage processes.
With Top Wrap, the label prevents the contents from falling out of the tray or being removed by the consumer. It saves material and has a high production capacity of 180 packs per minute. Using cardboard trays and self-adhesive labels made of paper or renewable materials creates plastic-free packaging that can be easily recycled.
With Top Close, trays can be easily and securely closed and labeled at the top. The label sticks only to the edges of the tray, preventing the product from coming into contact with glue. Transparent labels ensure that the product remains visible, while ventilation holes provide air circulation. The Top Close labeling machine has a high production capacity of up to 250 products per minute, resulting in cost savings and an efficient process.
