Registrations for the international food innovation exhibition SIAL Paris, which will take place in 2018 from October 21 to 25, are in full swing. The organisation has opened the exhibitor platform several months earlier than usual. Many of the Dutch companies that participated in 2016 have already registered for the next edition.
More than 7000 companies are expected to exhibit at SIAL Paris 2018, 85% of which are international. SIAL Paris will once again fill all halls of the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre. In 2016, an additional (temporary) hall was built to provide ample space for all exhibitors. In 2018 this temporary hall will be enlarged in order to accommodate the still growing number of exhibitors, as most 2016 participants will be coming back and new companies are already lining up.
The Dutch agro-food sector is showing more interest in participating than ever before. Dutch companies may book an individual stand starting at 16 sqm or choose to join the Dutch Pavilions organised by Gielissen starting at 9 sqm. Especially for those who are participating in SIAL Paris for the first time, the country pavilions are an interesting option.
More than 70% of the 155.700 trade visitors is international. Many come from within the EU, but also from Asia (7%), the Middle East (6%), Africa (5%), South America (4%) and North America (4%).*
Aside from the “main event” in Paris, SIAL organises a number of annual satellite events in attractive growth regions. Next up: SIAL InterFOOD (November 22 to 25, 2017 in Jakarta), SIAL Middle East (December 12 to 14, 2017 in Abu Dhabi), SIAL Canada (May 2 to 4, 2018 in Montréal) and SIAL China (May 16 to 18, 2018 in Shanghai). With the exception of Canada, Holland Pavilions are organised at all SIAL trade shows and participating companies may be eligible for a Netherlands Enterprise Agency voucher worth € 1.500,-.
