Responding to the trend in sustainable packaging, MULTIVAC, is highlighting its plastic-saving packaging solutions at the upcoming Fruit Logistica trade fair. From 8 to 10 February 2023, they will show a variety of packaging options for fresh produce on more than 250 square metres of exhibition space.
They expect a lot of interest in their PaperBoard range and other packaging concepts that are highly material-efficient and recyclable while extending food shelf life. The aim is to help customers comply with the new laws and still offer the best possible packaging for the fresh produce they sell.
Further highlights on the exhibition stand include the T 305 traysealer and a complete line centred on the high-capacity TX 710 traysealer.
MULTIVAC is also integrating a BASELINE labeller of the L 301 series into the line. This cost-effective labelling solution applies labels with variable data, such as a best-before date, to the top of trays. By integrating the labeller's controls, many tasks can be automated.
The flexible L 310 Top Wrap conveyor belt labeller is available as a stand-alone model for selected products such as tomatoes and berries. This labeller shows how MULTIVAC is meeting the trend of separately recyclable packaging made of paper and cardboard, replacing not only plastic trays but also cardboard sleeves, which, although recyclable, are very material-intensive.
For visitors to the show, who prefer to play it safe when it comes to highly automated processes, MULTIVAC is also showing its I 410 visual inspection system, an integrated quality control solution with its own conveyor belt.
All in all, MULTIVAC's presence at the show is an excellent opportunity for visitors to see the latest developments in packaging technology and understand how they can contribute to sustainability and food waste reduction.
