Nocotech system accessible via the cloud

  • 12 October 2020

When does the machine start and when does it stop? What is the consumption? Does everything work as it should? We want and must always have insight. In doing so, we have and maintain full control; especially over the disinfection process.

Nocotech is an automated disinfection system that is supplied in the Netherlands by Simpel Desinfecteren. Many companies in the food industry now have one or more of these machines; in production rooms, canteens, changing rooms, transport vans, etcetera. The Nocotech machine turns a liquid (Nocolyse Food) based on hydrogen peroxide into a dry disinfecting vapour. This dry vapour consists of 'superoxides', which eliminates all microorganisms.

Also works against COVID-19

"We are particularly proud of the official approval of the CTGB for the elimination/control of viruses; this method therefore also works against COVID-19", says Hugo ter Hoeve van Simpel Desinfecteren. "The manufacturer supplied tens of thousands of machines to hospitals worldwide, who successfully use the method to prevent or combat the spread of COVID-19. Ambulances are also fully disinfected with the Nocotech system, especially after transport of infected patients. It works very easily, no residue is left behind and there is no need for rinsing".

There are three types of machines. The Nocospray is the smallest and portable one. It disinfects rooms of up to 1,000 m³. The Nocomax Easy and Nocomax WM are much larger. The Easy is mobile, the WM is attached to a wall or placed on a stainless steel cart. These two machines can disinfect rooms of up to 20,000 m³ each.

New software

Simpel Disinfecting is currently developing new software (a 'dashboard') for these two larger machines allowing customers to monitor their Nocotech remotely 24/7. For example, there will be an option to switch the machine on and off via the dashboard, and it will be possible to check whether the machine has worked, how long it has worked and, for example, whether there is still enough fluid left. And in the unlikely event of a malfunction, the customer will be warned immediately by text message or e-mail. It goes without saying that all data is safely stored, so that the entire disinfection process is verifiable; essential for certifying authorities and the NVWA.

The module and software will be ready in November. "After that, we will test the dashboard extensively. From January 2021 our customers will be able to use it", says Hugo ter Hoeve.
