More vegetables in January with 'Green January’

Vegetable innovator &samhoud food challenges the Netherlands to go 100% vegetable in January in addition to 0% alcohol. With 'Green January' &samhoud food wants people to experience that vegetables and enjoyment go well together. With the introduction of a unique vegetable oven line at Jumbo they give this campaign a flying start. The new Vegetable product line consists of popular vegetable-based snacks: Nuggets, Wellington, Cheese Schnitzel and Sausages and can be found in the freezer. The vegetable innovations come from the kitchen of 2-Michelin-star chef Moshik Roth.

Drink of the future: Green January

For many, January is a moment for a new start, to act 'normal' again and get back to reality. It is estimated that some 100,000 people take part in 'Dry January', an initiative not to drink alcohol in January. &samhoud invites the Netherlands to participate in 'Green January': not only 0% alcohol, but also 100% vegetables. Thanks to the new vegetable oven snacks, everyone can enjoy vegetables with a drink: tasty and responsible.

Responsible snacking with vegetable innovations

The new vegetable snacks cleverly respond to the trend towards healthier and more sustainable snacks. Oven snacks have been growing in popularity for some time now, just like vegetarian alternatives. The vegetable base provides a new distinctive alternative to the current classic snacks. The &samhoud vegetable oven line can be found in Jumbo's frozen range and consists of a mix of classic Dutch vegetable-based snacks and a Vegetable Wellington. The latter is a vegetarian variant of the classic Beef Wellington. For the filling, the choice was made for &samhoud Groentegehakt, which won the famous Best New Plant-Based Food Awards in 2018.

With the hashtag #GreenJanuary &samhoud inspires its followers with recipes for the new vegetable oven snacks. Fans will be surprised in the coming weeks with colourful and accessible recipe inspiration. The recipes will be composed in co-creation with chef Moshik Roth of 2-Michelin-star restaurant &moshik, where creativity with vegetables is based.
