More sustain­able packaging with Smart Heating

MULTIVAC is perfecting its forming and sealing processes with the new matrix heating systems pixelHEAT and pixelSEAL, developed in collaboration with Watttron GmbH. These systems respond to the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions and are compatible with thermoforming machines across all product categories.

The pixelHEAT system reduces heat loss by up to 50% and cuts energy consumption by as much as 30%, thanks to individually controlled heating pixels. This enables the use of thinner films without compromising stability. It also shortens heating times, leading to faster start-up and changeover processes. The system is particularly well-suited for recyclable films, such as monomaterials.

The pixelSEAL system ensures high-quality, hermetically sealed seams through precise temperature control. Individual sealing pixels provide even heat distribution, lowering energy consumption during sealing by 50%. The short heating time makes the process even more efficient. Recyclable films are also sealed neatly and reliably thanks to this system.
