LIVEKINDLY achieves 600% production growth

LIVEKINDLY Collective has achieved a 600% increase in production for LIKE Chicken Bites at its Oss facility, expanding from 2,500 to 15,000 tons per year. This success was made possible through the reconstruction of the factory and support from MULTIVAC's packaging solution. The process required extensive collaboration, communication, and enjoyment.

The factory and production lines

In 2019, LIVEKINDLY Collective initiated a process aimed at exponential growth. A new production facility and two process lines, each capable of producing 120 packages per minute, were necessary. The new factory was equipped with various process lines, from cooking and extrusion to cooling and transporting the product to the packaging area. Between 2019 and 2022, MULTIVAC delivered and installed its packaging solution at LIVEKINDLY Collective.

Packaging process and quality control

The MULTIVAC packaging line features the latest generation TX traysealers. The trays are automatically filled and weight-checked, then vacuum-sealed and protected under a controlled atmosphere in the traysealer. The process includes metal detection and weight control to meet the highest quality standards.

Packaging requirements and efficiency

The packaging of LIKE Chicken Bites remained unchanged in appearance and is made from recycled PET with a top seal and sleeve of recycled paper. MULTIVAC ensured that the packaging met the specified requirements and achieved the production capacity of 120 units per minute. Hygiene and efficiency were key considerations, ensuring a fast and clean process.

Future outlook

LIVEKINDLY Collective in Oss is ready for the future with two efficient process lines. The company is prepared for further growth, aiming to make plant-based food the new standard.
