Jan Zandbergen launches Redfield Meats

  • 17 February 2026

The market for portioned beef is growing in Europe. Professional kitchens are asking for consistency and convenience. Jan Zandbergen Group is responding to that demand. The company is introducing its new brand, Redfield Meats. The focus is on frozen, portion-controlled steaks for foodservice.

Focus on convenience and consistency

With Redfield Meats, Jan Zandbergen targets chefs who need speed. The range consists of standard portion-controlled steaks. These include ribeye, beef tenderloin tournedos, and flat iron steak. T-bone and Galbi ribs are also part of the lineup. In total, the range includes thirteen products.

The beef is sourced from South America and Europe. Breeds such as Hereford and Angus are raised there. The steaks are portioned with precision. This enables kitchens to serve the same weight every time. It supports cost control and consistent quality.

“We zien een sterke vraag naar hoogwaardig geportioneerd rundvlees vanuit de Europese Foodservice markt. Om op deze vraag in te spelen hebben we het merk Redfield Meats ontwikkeld met een focus op convenience, consistentie, kwaliteit en een breed assortiment aan diepgevroren geportioneerde producten” – aldus Justin van Schaik, Sales Executive bij de Jan Zandbergen Group.

IQF technology and reduced waste

The steaks are frozen using the IQF method. This ensures extended shelf life and operational flexibility. Chefs use only what they need. According to the company, this saves time and lowers costs. It also helps reduce food waste.

Redfield Meats supplies its products in standard five-kilogram boxes. Window boxes are available for wholesalers and Cash & Carry operators. The brand also offers customization in calibrations and packaging. Alternative weight ranges are available upon request.

According to the company, Jan Zandbergen works exclusively with socially responsible suppliers. The beef must meet strict EU quality standards. With this new brand, the company aims to become a trusted name within the European foodservice sector.
