Inpico NV: specialists in stainless steel food processing systems

  • 14 April 2025

Inpico is a Belgian company based in Halen, founded in 2005. The core business includes executing piping projects and designing and building turn-key process installations for the food industry and related sectors.

What does Inpico specialise in?

Inpico specialises in aseptic and hygienic installations, with full in-house development and construction of key process components such as dosing, mixing, and cleaning systems.

We typically work on “brownfield” projects—meaning we optimise and expand existing installations. Our approach starts with component selection, followed by a 3D scan of the existing setup. Based on this scan, we create a 3D design that ensures the new installation integrates seamlessly into the existing system.

To minimise production downtime, we often work with pre-assembled functional skids that we fabricate in our workshop. During pre-scheduled switchover periods, production is briefly halted so we can integrate the new skids into the live environment as quickly as possible.

In recent years, Inpico has placed a strong focus on cost-saving solutions for existing systems: improving energy efficiency through heat recovery, product recovery, economical CIP and cleaning solutions, and optimisation of process flows for both product and time efficiency. Modifications are designed in close consultation with the client to achieve maximum efficiency gains.

How does Inpico work?

Inpico begins with the customer’s requirements. Based on these, we draw up a detailed quotation, specifying exactly how we will meet the client’s needs.

Once the proposal is approved, we move forward. Together with the customer, we develop a P&ID, create a detailed component list, and usually also prepare a 3D design. Once approved, we order the necessary materials and begin mechanical assembly of the system.

If desired, we also provide full electrical control and required software integration in collaboration with our carefully selected, trusted partners.

How does Inpico ensure quality?

During the design phase, we fully comply with strict food industry standards, including EHEDG guidelines. Inpico also works according to its own internal quality manual, based on the V-model methodology.

Assembly is performed using certified welders and approved welding procedures. Where applicable, aseptic installations are welded using orbital welding systems. We maintain a validated quality control process, and all welding is logged with endoscopic images.

In short—whether you’re looking to invest in a new food processing system or want to upgrade an existing one, you now know where to turn.
