Food Cabinet receives B Corp certification

For over a decade, Food Cabinet has focused on a sustainable, fair and healthy food system. This is why the organisation chooses to work for and with brands, businesses and organisations that share these ambitions. "We find it equally important to also put our own organisation along the sustainable and social bar. This is why we have been a Certified B Corporation since March 2023."

Sustainable food from the niche

Whereas at its inception the main concern was to put issues such as food waste and plant proteins on the agenda, many companies and organisations have now embraced these themes. Sustainable food has long since ceased to be a niche, and there are over sixty B Corps in the Netherlands alone dealing with food (production). Becoming part of this community therefore feels like a logical step for Food Cabinet.

Impact is never "finished"

"We continuously keep looking at whether we can do things better and where we can increase our impact. With this certification, we not only record what we are already doing in this social and ecological field, but also where we can still improve and take additional steps. We publish an annual impact report and every three years the assessment is reviewed by B Lab. We are proud to be part of the B Corp community and in this way raise our own bar ever higher."
