Farm Dairy and PlanetDairy launch dairy blend

  • 16 May 2025

One produces private label dairy in the Netherlands, the other is making strides with plant-based cheese in Scandinavia. Now, Farm Dairy and PlanetDairy are taking the next step together: a new dairy blend in which milk and plant-based ingredients complement each other.

Launch at PLMA Amsterdam

The dairy innovators will launch their new product line next week at the PLMA trade show in Amsterdam. The milk drink combines dairy with plant-based ingredients and will be available in skimmed, semi-skimmed, and whole variants. According to CarbonCloud, the product achieves at least a 20% reduction in CO₂ emissions. It’s aimed at consumers who value sustainability but refuse to compromise on taste, nutrition, or price.

Partnership between the Netherlands and Denmark

“As a trusted private label dairy partner for nearly three decades, we are thrilled to explore new opportunities in a dynamic sector with this launch,” says Arend Bouwer, Managing Director of Farm Dairy. PlanetDairy previously introduced blended cheese products in the Nordics. “After the success and learnings from our blended cheese products in the Nordics, we are now tackling the largest dairy category—milk,” says Jakob Skovgaard, Co-founder and CEO of PlanetDairy.

Moving toward a mainstream alternative

The companies are targeting dairy lovers who are mindful of their environmental impact. “By offering a retail price and taste comparable to traditional dairy, we believe we can reach a wider consumer base,” says Skovgaard. He adds that both companies are already working on next steps, including yoghurt and desserts.
