The supply chain is becoming more unpredictable. Flows of raw materials shift more rapidly, consumer preferences change, and international deliveries are less reliable than before. For Euro Pizza Products and New York Pizza, this was reason enough to completely redesign their planning approach. Both supply chain planning and S&OP are being restructured from the ground up.
In partnership with REMIRA, the sister companies are implementing a solution that covers the entire chain. Forecasting, sales planning, demand planning, inventory management, MRP, procurement, and production, including scheduling. Not separate steps, but one continuous process. The data-driven forecast continuously responds to promotions, seasonal factors, and shifting consumer trends. It’s directly linked to operational capacity.
Global supply chains remain volatile. At the same time, demand keeps growing—both domestically and abroad. That calls for more than a traditional approach. According to Johan van Hemert of REMIRA, technology is only part of the answer. “Intelligente software is maar één middel om deze uitdagingen aan te gaan. Eerder en beter delen van data met externe partner, het betrekken van méér interne functies bij de planning van inkoop, voorraad, productie en sales en het werken met complexe scenario’s is minstens zo belangrijk.”
The new approach aims to improve control over the supply chain, ensure reliable delivery, and keep costs manageable.
