Broadening and deepening: Aqua Nederland

The next edition of the Aqua Nederland Vakbeurs trade show is scheduled for 21-23 March 2017 at the Evenementenhal Gorinchem venue in the Netherlands. Thanks to a partnership with ENVAQUA, the event is interesting for a broad range of target groups.

The venue company called Evenementenhal and the industry association called ENVAQUA signed a new collaborative agreement for the annual Aqua Nederland Vakbeurs fair on 22 December 2016. The agreement is for at least three years – up to and including the 2019 edition of the event. Besides water technology companies, visitors to Aqua Nederland Vakbeurs can now also meet environmental technology companies.

Broadening

Angelique Klar, director of Evenementenhal: “The exhibitor profile of Aqua Nederland Vakbeurs is primarily made up of the major players from the water sector. We hope that the new partnership between Evenementenhal and ENVAQUA will change this.” Frank Buijs, director of ENVAQUA, adds: “Both partners have expressed their desire to broaden the event profile to include environmental technology. That ambition reflects the interests of the environmental and water technology companies represented by ENVAQUA. This way, the annual trade fair will become the most important time in the year that the industry comes together.” 

External research

To optimise the event’s success over the coming years, Evenementenhal and ENVAQUA are commissioning an external study into the opportunities and challenges for exhibitors and potential exhibitors from the worlds of water and environmental technology, insofar as they are relevant in relation to Aqua Nederland Vakbeurs. And to ensure the continual development of Aqua Nederland Vakbeurs, Evenementenhal and ENVAQUA are setting up an Advisory Board that the event organisers can approach for advice. The Advisory Board includes members who represent the interests of visitors, exhibitors and media partners from within the industry. 

Bigger exhibition area

Over 320 exhibitors took part in the successful 2016 edition, and it attracted close to 10,000 visitors from the industry. In view of that success, the exhibition area will be 1,000m2 bigger for this year’s event. In 2017, Aqua Nederland Vakbeurs will once again be held in parallel with RioleringsVakdagen.
