Annemarieke de Haan (Unilever) has been appointed by the Board of the FNLI as the new Chairman of the FNLI. She succeeds Bas Alblas as of 1 January 2021, who will step down at the end of this year - after three years of chairmanship at the FNLI - because of his departure as CEO at Lamb Weston / Meijer. In addition, the FNLI board has appointed Bas Roelofs (FrieslandCampina) as the new vice-chairman of the FNLI. He will succeed Conny Braams as vice-chairman until the end of 2019.
Annemarieke de Haan: "During the COVID-19 crisis, the food industry showed its resilience and collective capacity for change by continuing to move forward. The crisis has also shown that innovation and the structural sustainability of the industry are more important than ever. I am therefore looking forward to contributing in the FNLI context to further strengthen the international position of the Dutch food industry.
