15th edition of Empack

The Dutch packaging trade show Empack, taking place on 5 and 6 April 2017 at the Brabanthallen venue, is set to feature plenty of innovations and foster lots of knowledge. The packaging sector is changing rapidly. Visit the event to discover new possibilities for faster, smarter, cheaper or more sustainable packaging.

Empack is the year’s leading opportunity to meet more than 400 exhibitors and fellow packaging professionals face to face. Get to know and talk to suppliers of packaging machines, packaging concepts and packaging materials, quality and inspection systems, packaging advice, labelling and packaging printing. 

Keynote speaker Bennie Mols, science journalist, is specialised in artificial intelligence, robots and the human brain. He will be revealing a glimpse of the future with his visionary presentation on ‘The robot as a colleague’. 

Tackling packaging challenges 

Numerous current packaging challenges will be examined at this anniversary edition of the event, including topics such as circular economy packaging, food safety, legislation and e-commerce. What’s the situation regarding the upcoming packaging legislation on mineral oils in cardboard food packaging and the elimination of aluminium from packaging for potato crisps? The spotlight will also be on methods for extending shelf life and the use of sustainable packaging alternatives.
