Willy Naessens sells meat processing companies

  • 08 October 2020

The Belgian Willy Naessens Group sells meat processing companies Frank Delmote (Wortegem-Petegem) and Vleeswaren Peeters (Aartselaar). Both companies are taken over by the company Vleeswaren de Keyser from Aalter. The staff of the companies have been informed of the decision and can continue to work under the same terms of employment.

Willy Naessens has several meat processing and distribution companies in its portfolio. The group indicated that it is a small player in the market in terms of production and that it clashes with the physical limits of their installations and buildings in terms of capacity and surface area. Large investments would be required, which would not be feasible or justified due to the low profitability of this segment. More growth potential is seen in distribution. The group is already a major player here and they want to focus fully on this.
