Unilever plans to cut one in three office jobs across Europe, significantly impacting offices in London and Rotterdam. A total of 3,200 jobs will be eliminated. Employees will be informed about the implications in the coming weeks. Currently, Unilever's European offices employ between 10,000 and 11,000 people.
In March, Unilever announced a major restructuring plan that will result in the elimination of 7,500 office jobs globally, aiming to save 800 million euros over three years. Additionally, Unilever is considering selling its ice cream division, which includes brands like Ola and Magnum. No final decision has been made yet. Globally, Unilever employs around 127,000 people, and the restructuring affects only office jobs. Factories are not impacted.
