Dutch dairy products must carry a health certificate to be allowed into the UK from 1 April. Active enforcement and monitoring on the British side of the border starts from 1 July.
The veterinary certificates are drawn up by the NVWA on the basis of the rules that the UK draws up for this purpose. The application and processing of the certificates is accompanied by several waiting days.
Furthermore, the brexit leads to longer transport routes. For example, for transports to Ireland, which always went through the UK, another route is necessary. And transport pallets, for which a standard applies within the European Union, must meet international standards for UK transports.
