Too Good To Go saves more than 156 million meals

  • 10 June 2026

In 2025, Too Good To Go saved more than 156 million meals from going to waste worldwide. This brings the total number of meals saved since the company’s launch to more than 600 million. According to the company, this prevented more than 423,000 tons of CO2 emissions.

The platform continued to grow over the past year. Too Good To Go now has more than 120 million registered users and over 200,000 active partners across twenty countries.

Greater control over surplus inventory

In addition to its consumer app, Too Good To Go continues to expand its activities. The company now offers several solutions to help manage surplus inventory. These include expiration date management, AI-powered price reductions, and integrations with point-of-sale systems. Surplus products from manufacturers are also sold directly to consumers through Too Good To Go Parcels.

According to Too Good To Go, technology played an important role in reducing food waste across all markets. Partners are using point-of-sale integrations, inventory management solutions, and automated markdown systems, among other tools.

More than 7 billion packages

The Look-Smell-Taste campaign was also expanded further. Through this campaign, Too Good To Go aims to help consumers better understand date labeling. The label makes it clear that a use-by date relates to food safety, while a best-before date primarily relates to quality. The label is now used by 480 brands on 8,976 products. Together, these account for more than 7 billion packages annually. In 2025, 45 new brands joined the initiative.

Research conducted by Too Good To Go shows that confusion about date labeling remains widespread. For example, 64 percent of respondents believe consumers are not sufficiently informed about date labels. In addition, 50 percent say they have thrown away food because they were unsure whether it was still safe to eat.
