Too Good To Go saves 5 million meals in 2021

Recently Too Good To Go published its second annual Impact Report. Worldwide 52 million meals were saved through the Too Good To Go-app. The success in the Netherlands is remarkable. The company managed to save 5,234,897 meals from waste in one year. Compared to 2020, this is an increase of 45%. In 2021 Too Good To Go also officially became climate neutral+. In 2021, the company celebrated the milestone of 100 million meals saved since its foundation in 2016.

The top 3 provinces saving the most meals in 2021 are South Holland (1,097,012 meals), North Holland (968,420 meals) and North Brabant (807,333 meals). In the Netherlands, the saved meals were mainly the 'magic boxes' (78%). Retailers saved a total of 2,930,422 meals. Bakeries accounted for 1,924,027 saved magic boxes and in the catering industry 380,448 meals were saved through the app.
