Strategic partnership Multivac and Handtmann

The demand for automated and cost-effective line solutions for food production and packaging is increasing worldwide. In response to this, MULTIVAC and HANDTMANN have entered into a strategic partnership in a number of key markets, and MULTIVAC Netherlands and Verbufa BV, part of Handtmann Group since April 2021, will join forces.

The single-source principle makes it easier for the customer: one provider and therefore one point of contact and more efficient planning and installation. Automation lines often consist of individual machines from different manufacturers. "Due to competitive pressures and an increasingly diverse product range, many food producers are looking for line solutions that are quickly planned, installed and cost-effective. To meet this demand, we have expanded our network of partners and entered into a strategic partnership," explains Christian Traumann, Group President at MULTIVAC.

Customers save up to 40 percent of time in the design phase alone

Both MULTIVAC Netherlands and Verbufa-Handtmann can now offer integrated line solutions for the production and packaging of various products for a wide range of industries. HANDTMANN's filling and portioning technology is complemented by MULTIVAC's tray sealing or thermoforming machines and line expertise, such as MULTIVAC Line Control.

Automated line solutions from a single source enable food producers to concentrate on their core business. Customers can expect a close cooperation in the future with a number of activities planned after the major reconstruction of MULTIVAC Netherlands. The sustainable new building is expected to open its doors this summer.
