The KVK Innovation Top 100 annually highlights the most pioneering Dutch companies. This year, 100 finalists were selected from over 225 entries, divided into five categories. In the Food, Water, and Infrastructure category, SnackFuture, Colsen, and Prince emerged as winners. These companies demonstrate with their groundbreaking ideas how innovation can address both social and environmental challenges.
SnackFuture has revolutionized the snack market with products that combine health and sustainability. Their range includes a Nutri-Score B hamburger containing just 45% meat. With its high fiber and protein content, these snacks provide health benefits without compromising on taste. In addition to their positive impact on public health, SnackFuture contributes to CO₂ reduction by using less meat and optimizing transportation processes.
Colsen has developed AMFER technology, a solution that extracts nitrogen from manure and wastewater and converts it into high-quality fertilizer. This innovation not only reduces nitrogen emissions but also helps improve the quality of groundwater and surface water. AMFER offers an alternative to drastic measures such as reducing livestock numbers, without affecting agricultural production.
Prince Kunststof Infra has introduced a patented coupling ring that connects both PVC and PE pipes and is suitable for high-pressure applications. This innovation is particularly significant for the food industry, where hygiene and food safety are of utmost importance. The coupling ring ensures reliable and leak-free connections in water and gas pipelines. Additionally, its universal applicability leads to more efficient installations and maintenance, resulting in cost savings and reduced CO₂ emissions.
