Semi-automatic filling

  • 18 November 2014

For its agitator kettles, Spako has developed a semi-automatic drain tap: a practical tool for companies focused on craftsmanship such as caterers and butchers. It enables them to quickly fill packs of soups and sauces to precisely the right weight. The agitator continues to run during the filling process to keep the sauce or soup at the same consistency. This ensures that each package has the same composition. The warm product is pasteurised. Spako has already supplied the semi-automatic drain tap to a major airline. Soup for airline passengers is heated in the agitator kettle. Thermos flasks are then automatically filled with the exact required weight of the hot soup. The process runs quickly and efficiently: airline staff do not need to check whether the flasks are full; they can simply grab the next flask and place it under the tap in one smooth movement.
