Scherpenhuizen is expanding its operations with the acquisition of Van Oers United, known under the name Primeale. The Eindhoven-based company has reached an agreement with the French Agrial group after discussions about the purchase of all shares. This move strengthens Scherpenhuizen’s position in product categories such as legumes, spring onions, Brussels sprouts, and radishes.
The acquisition aligns with Scherpenhuizen’s ambition to market, package, and distribute a wider range of products year-round. With a central sourcing organization in the Netherlands, Morocco, and Senegal, the company aims to work more efficiently and serve its customers better. The existing locations in Eindhoven and Dinteloord will continue to play a key role in these activities.
Scherpenhuizen emphasizes that quality, sustainability, and availability remain top priorities. “With our vision to simply be the best in fresh, we look forward to building a future-proof collaboration with our growers and customers,” the company stated.
This strategic step strengthens Scherpenhuizen’s position in the vegetable sector and enhances its ability to meet market demand.
