Royal A-ware plans to acquire LaBan Foods. The international family-owned company will expand its product range with butter products. Royal A-ware will also gain specialist expertise in this product category. The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) must still approve the acquisition.
The proposed acquisition aligns with Royal A-ware’s strategy. The family-owned company aims to further broaden its product range. This will allow Royal A-ware to serve customers better and offer them a wider selection.
“With LaBan Foods, we are gaining specialist expertise and a distinctive range of butter products,” says Jan Anker, Chairman of the Board of Royal A-ware.
LaBan Foods will complement Royal A-ware’s current product range. The company brings expertise and a portfolio of butter products.
LaBan Foods expects to pursue its growth ambitions within Royal A-ware. According to CEO René Laban, the acquisition will create more scope for product innovation. It will also allow the company to expand its range and volumes.
Managing Director Karel van Driel points to the importance of scale. According to him, this is essential for the company’s next step. LaBan Foods expects to take that step within Royal A-ware.
The companies have now notified the ACM of the proposed acquisition. The acquisition remains subject to approval by the regulator.
