Reusable bags for fruit and vegetables

Colruyt Group will replace all fruit and vegetable bags with reusable bags. This adjustment will save approximately 150 million bags a year. In June 2019, the group will introduce a newly developed reusable bag. The group aims to use only reusable bags in all member food stores by the end of October 2019. 

Reuse 100 times

The bag developed by the group must be reusable more than 100 times. The bag can be washed in the washing machine and can carry up to 4 kg of products. The tare weight of 37 grams is automatically settled at the cash register, so customers do not pay for the new bag either.
