The new name TBA BV is short for transportbandaandrijving (‘conveyor drives’). Director Jan Kees Wieringa comments: “We no longer wanted our name to be directly linked to one particular brand. We offer a broad spectrum of solutions to the food industry; you could see us as a ‘one-stop shop’ for drum motors. Procon drum motors are widely used in the food industry. The oil-free motor concept appeals to companies in the sector, as do our short lead times. Customers who are looking for drum motors with larger diameters and higher performance often choose Rulmeca which, just like Procon, is a high-quality German brand that is very attractively priced. It’s an honour for us to represent these products in the Dutch market.”
