Nocotech, introduced to the Dutch food market four years ago by Simpel Desinfecteren, disinfects thoroughly. The dry vapour is biodegradable and the system is safe for humans and the environment.
More and more companies in the food industry are using the Nocotech disinfection method to control microbiological risks. "Because the method is also effective against the new coronavirus COVID-19, the manufacturer of Nocotech machines in France is running at full speed to meet the enormous demand," says Robert Kostrubiec of Simpel Desinfecteren. "Worldwide, our manufacturer supplies hospitals using the method to disinfect intensive care units and quarantine areas, among other things".
"It goes without saying that the medical sector has priority in extradition. The delivery time of machines intended for the food industry is therefore temporarily a bit longer. In order to deal with defects, we always have machines in depot as a back-up. For new customers, a number of these machines are now also used to bridge the extended delivery time. This allows them to quickly get started with the Nocotech method.
We have a large stock of the Nocolyse Food liquid and the manufacturer can continue to produce fully. Food safety for our customers is therefore not endangered".

To measure is to know. That's why Simpel Desinfecteren asked customers to express their satisfaction with the disinfection method in a number (1 to 10). They presented them with six subjects. Below the responses summarized in an average grade.
"There are suppliers of disinfectants who claim that their products can also be used with our Nocotech machines," says Hugo ter Hoeve van Simpel Disinfecteren. "Let's be very clear about this right away: this will never be the case!"
"Our Nocotech disinfection method is the only one with Ctgb approval to atomize hydrogen peroxide in the food industry," he continues. "Our method is therefore unique. The Board for the Authorization of Plant Protection Products and Biocides assesses whether these products are safe for humans, animals and the environment. The Ctgb approval of our liquid is always and only valid in combination with our machines. Only then is it legally permitted as a method. Other combinations are therefore not permitted.
How does Nocotech work again? Hugo: "The liquid is brought into contact by the machine with ionized, heated air, creating a dry vapour of OH₋ ions. These ions are superoxides that have a destructive effect on all micro-organisms in a short period of time. The contact time is at least 30 minutes and rinsing is not necessary'.

About 130 companies in the food industry are now using our disinfection method, Robert and Hugo are proud of this. "We felt it was important to take the next step in the professionalisation of our equipment. So we decided to automate the verification process. This means that our customers no longer have to manually check or register consumption. After all, this continues to be manual work that unnecessarily takes up a lot of time and increases the chance of errors".
For optimal verification, they equip the Nocomax and the Nocomax wall model with a dashboard. This allows customers to see in real time whether the machine is working and to start or stop the machine remotely. In addition, a registration system registers how much time the machine has been switched on and off and how long it has been in operation. This immediately determines the consumption and you can check on the dashboard when the can needs to be replaced. The Nocospray already had a registration system.
"The development of the dashboard is well advanced, but due to the corona crisis it has been put on hold for a while. As soon as COVID-19 has been sufficiently suppressed and we can start again, we will of course let our customers know immediately".
