MHP chooses MULTIVAC’s robotic lines

  • 16 December 2025

MHP has commissioned two advanced robotic lines from MULTIVAC. The systems enhance the efficiency, stability, and quality of the chicken fillet packaging process. As a subsidiary of the Ukrainian producer MHP, the Veenendaal location is taking an important step toward further automation.

From testing to implementation

In 2022, a TX 730 traysealer was installed. It proved to be such a strong fit for the production process that the company immediately saw an opportunity to automate the manual weighing and packaging of chicken fillets. Folkert Thasing, managing director at MHP: “We process roughly 29,000 tons of chicken fillet per year. You want to keep guaranteeing top quality.”

MHP evaluated several options and once again selected MULTIVAC. After extensive testing and simulations, their solution turned out to align best with MHP’s requirements and processes. At MULTIVAC’s factory in Germany, trays of 2.5 and 5 kilos were used to realistically test the stacking process handled by the robotic lines.

Efficiency and support

The installation in Veenendaal took place around the Christmas period of 2024. Thanks to the combined efforts of both teams, the challenge was successfully completed. An R 515 thermoforming packaging machine was also installed for vacuum packs with variable weights.

Thasing speaks highly of the collaboration: “MULTIVAC provides expert support, even after installation. Their technicians have 24/7 access and our employees are well trained. With 20% fewer people, we’re achieving roughly 10% more output.”
MHP Nederland has been active since 2016 and supplies exclusively to the wholesale market. MULTIVAC is a global supplier of integrated processing and packaging solutions and actively supports customers in growth, innovation, and reliability.
