The Kunststoffenbeurs, the largest trade fair in the Benelux focused on plastic and rubber products, will be entirely dedicated to sustainable product development and production on 20 and 21 September 2023. Plastics and rubber offer countless possibilities thanks to their unique properties, such as variable colours, shapes and weights, the possibility of combining with other materials, and applicability in various production techniques, including injection moulding, thermo or vacuum forming, extrusion and 3D printing.
The event brings together over 230 specialised companies, knowledge and educational institutions, research projects, startups and student teams from the plastics and rubber industry with international and national visitors. This year's central theme is the "Future of Plastics", covering all developments, initiatives and new production techniques with plastics, such as plastics processing and machining, product design and development, sustainability, mechanical engineering, surface techniques, moulds and injection moulding.
The Machinery Square by Equip-Plast, showcases state-of-the-art technologies for the plastics and rubber industry with a specific focus on sustainability and reducing CO2 emissions and energy consumption. Several exhibitors will present full-electric and hybrid injection moulding machines and software to control the injection moulding process in a circular way.
The congress programme includes keynote speakers such as Merijn Tinga, the Plastic Soup Surfer, and Dirk Groot, the Zwerfinator, who share their knowledge on sustainability, recycling and innovation in the plastics industry. In addition, there are several areas where companies showcase their innovations and developments, such as the Start-up, Knowledge & Education, Innovation and 3D printing areas.
During the Plastics Fair, the Rethink Plastics Awards will also be presented by Federation NRK. There is an expo with sustainably produced products to visit. The fair has been the meeting place for the entire Benelux plastics and rubber industry since 1999 and offers opportunities for cooperation on a sustainable future of plastics.
The Plastics Fair is free to registered visitors on 20 and 21 September 2023 in the Brabanthallen Den Bosch.
