Inga Blokker (33) has been appointed director by the board of the FoodService Institute. She will take up her position as of May 1.
"It is an incredibly challenging and interesting time to be working in the food industry," says incoming director Inga Blokker. "Many companies are forced to reinvent themselves. More than ever, reliable knowledge and interpretation is needed to see a way forward and identify opportunities in time. It is an honor to be able to do that as a director starting in May at an organization that has been close to my heart for so long."
With the appointment of Inga Blokker, the association wants to continue to build on its strong name. The board of the FSIN expresses its confidence that Blokker can not only continue the growth of the FSIN and the relevance of the unique knowledge institute for the entire food sector, but also expand it.
Blokker is well versed in the food industry. Since 2017, for example, she has been director of The Food Research Company, the organization that handles both the research, reports and events of the FSIN. Before that, she worked for the FSIN in other roles and previously at Misset Horeca and ConCeption. Ever since she studied journalism, Inga has been involved in FSIN's research.
Blokker succeeds current director Grievink on May 1. Grievink has been director of the FSIN since it was founded in 2003, and in the 18 years of its existence the organization has contributed greatly to the professionalization of the Dutch foodservice. Grievink is retiring, but will remain available to the organization as a founder advisor in the background, but will primarily fill his time with supervisory directorships and advisory work for companies in the food sector.
