Foodvalley: €2 million in subsidies for SMEs in agrifood

  • 17 October 2024

SMEs in the agrifood sector can now benefit from a new voucher program offered by Foodvalley, running until 2026. This program provides financial support to businesses aiming to develop and scale up innovative products and processes within the provinces of Gelderland and Utrecht. A total of €2 million is available, with each project eligible to receive up to 50% of the total costs, capped at €50,000.

Supporting SME innovation

The voucher program grants SMEs access to facilities and knowledge that would otherwise be out of reach. This accelerates project development and scaling, while also reducing financial risks. It allows businesses to focus on breakthrough innovations without the burden of high costs and risks, offering them a competitive edge.

Boosting regional growth

By connecting companies with facilities in Gelderland and Utrecht, the subsidy also stimulates the economic development of these regions. This strong network opens up further opportunities for future collaborations and business growth. The eligibility criteria are designed to be accessible, ensuring as many companies as possible can apply for this support.

Companies can now submit their proposals, provided they meet the following requirements:

  • The SME must be established and registered to operate in the Netherlands and/or the EU.
  • The innovation facilities used must be located in the provinces of Gelderland or Utrecht.
  • 50% of project costs must be allocated to the use of a shared testing facility, including the expertise and operational staff required for the project’s execution.
