Food100 2025 names 100 changemakers transforming the Dutch food system

  • 29 August 2025

The 2025 Food100 list highlights 100 individuals reshaping the Dutch food landscape. It features 50 young talents under 35 and 50 experienced professionals over 35, all working to make the food chain healthier, more sustainable, and fairer. Whether they work at multinationals or run startups, each contributes to a necessary shift—especially relevant in times of uncertainty.

Collaboration over competition

This year’s selection shows a clear focus on shared progress. Jury member Ivar van Dorst points to the strong sense of openness among candidates, noting how many of them prioritize collaboration, social impact, and ecological responsibility over individual gain. The Food100 initiative now approaches a milestone: by next year, it will have recognized 1,000 changemakers since its launch.

The 2025 jury and this year’s food heroes

The independent jury is composed of seven professionals from across the food sector. Chaired by Lisanne van Oosterhoud, the panel also includes Anouk Snelders, Bas Turk, Herman Lelieveldt, Ivar van Dorst, Rahaf Al Lemoni and Sheila Struyck. Together, they selected six standout individuals who will be honored as Food Heroes 2025. Their names will be announced during a networking event on November 21 at BlueCity in Rotterdam.
